With Mother’s Day a week before our show this year, I can’t help but think of how proper my mom was all the time.  She was even more so when company came.  One night a friend, Linda, came over for dinner, and the entire Marks family was there.  15 people at the dinner table.  Unbeknownst to Linda, Mom had gotten up very early to cook and clean and make sure everything was perfect for her visit.  She wanted to be the best hostess and make it an unforgettable evening for her friend.

During dinner Linda started to talk about her life and her children, when suddenly we heard a huge snoring sound at the table.  All of us turned to see mom sound asleep.  My brother, Robert, said to Linda, “That’s probably a sign your story’s a little bit long.”   We all laughed so hard it woke mom up.  Robert looked at Linda and said, “Continue”.
